Agriculture Youth Fair:

 Clay County Agriculture Youth Fair

The first Clay County Agriculture Youth Fair was held in 1993. Since its inception, the Agriculture Youth Fair has been sponsored by the Clay County Farm Bureau. The Agriculture fair is designed to provide recognition and support to 4-H and FFA members as well as provide them a place to exhibit their year’s work. Whether their project is cooking, sport fishing, birds or bugs, or animal projects, Clay County 4-H and FFA members provide a broad array of excellent exhibits during the Ag Fair.

A highlight of the Agriculture Fair is the livestock exhibits and sale. Youth work for months feeding their hogs, steers, heifers, lambs, goats and rabbits trying to get their animals in tip-top shape for the Agriculture Fair. At the end of the weekend, after the judge’s decisions have been made, the animals are sold to businesses and individuals. The tremendous support for the Ag Fair has been generated because folks can see that the focus of the Ag Fair is on developing Clay County’s youth into our future leaders.

Hundreds of hours are donated each year by 4-H leaders, parents, and other volunteers to make the Ag Fair a reality. Activities include:

  • Project Exhibits
  • Educational Exhibits
  • Fun Activities and Games; Local Bands
  • 4-H/FFA Livestock Sale

Come see for yourself! The power of FFA and 4-H on the lives of youth is tremendous, and it takes support from folks just like you!

The mottos of 4-H and FFA are evident in the youth participating in the Clay County Agriculture Youth Fair.

4-H Motto: To make the best better.

FFA Motto: Learning to do. Doing to learn. Earning to live. Living to serve.
